Icetown Summer Travel Hockey Skills Clinic
Our Jaguars Summer clinics are designed to offer each skater the instruction and motivation to take their skills to the next level. Each clinic will cover power skating, puck control, shooting and passing.
This course is an excellent opportunity to improve skating skills.
» Players will improve control of the puck through fast paced movement drills.
» Players will develop increased puck control and improved communication with other players on the ice. Emphasis will be placed on stick handling and receiving and passing the puck in game-oriented drills.
» Instructors will provide education on the proper mechanics of shooting forehand and backhand shots. Emphasis will be placed on shot release, power and accuracy.
» All students must have completed the Hockey Academy or a comparable class to be eligible for stick handling.
Skaters will spend
30 minutes working on Stick Handling (Shooting, Passing, and Puck Control) and
30 minutes working on Power Skating (Edges, Striding, Sharp Turns, Starts and Stops, and Balance)
